Fees & Insurance

Fees

$160 for Initial Assessment Sessions (one or two for individuals 3 for couples).
$150 per 55-minute follow up sessions

Insurance

We are in-network providers with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. Please call the customer service number on the back of your card to inquire about your outpatient mental health benefits. Here are some helpful questions that you can ask:

  • Does BCBS manage my Behavioral Health benefits or is there another company “subcontracted” to cover counseling services?
  • What are my in-network behavioral health benefits taking place in an office setting?
  • Do I have a deductible?
  • What is my co-pay or co-insurance?
  • Are there dollar limits, session limits or other coverage limits for my behavioral health plan?
  • Will I need pre-approval or pre-certification to see a behavioral health specialist?

Third Coast Wellness will submit the necessary documentation for you to BCBS. If you choose to use your insurance benefits, we will need to provide a diagnosis to your insurance company. This diagnosis and treatment record becomes part of your health insurance record.

Out of Network Provider

Most other insurance plans will cover a portion of our fees as an “out-of-network” provider. We will give you a receipt at the end of the month with all the necessary coding for your submittal. Your plan will then reimburse you directly.

Payment

Payment is due at the end of each session by cash, check, Chase Quick Pay, Venmo, or PayPal.

Missed Sessions

Unfortunately, insurance does not pay for missed sessions. We charge the regular $150 session fee for missed appointments or cancellations without 24-hour notice. This fee does not apply in case of emergency or illness.

Complementary Phone Consultation

This 10-15 minute phone calls allows us to briefly discuss why you are seeking services, what you are hoping to get out of our time together, issues surrounding insurance and payment and setting up an initial assessment. Our conversation will also allow you to discover if you think we may be a good therapeutic fit. Once this phone consultation is completed we encourage you to fill out all the intake documents prior to our session. This allows us to spend our first session on you and not your paperwork.
